The Role:


The role exists to insure that procurement of product is undertaken on a daily basis in line with the customer’s requirements both short & long term.This involves the management of inventory levels within the EMEA Distribution Centre to optimum levels taking into account market & company requirements. Slow moving & redundant stock needs to be kept to a minimum & cash flow of the company within EMEA is thereby partially governed by the asset manager.

Daily Duties:
1.Manages daily procurement of product to effectively meet the needs of new customer orders & to ensure supply chain programs are fulfilled.

2.Undertakes monthly inventory forecasts, with accountability for accuracy to forecast and ability to rationalise performance.

3.Regular reviews of current inventory and back orders to keep stock levels at optimum levels for the forthcoming months.

4.Management of tactical supply chain fulfilment, with identification of customer specific or inventory related challenges with ability to resolve.

5.Keeps informed of changing market conditions, trends and products and reacts appropriately to gain advantage or minimise risk.

6.Thorough Purchase Back Order (PBO) reviews and problem identification and resolution.

7.Adhere to SLA (Service Level Agreements) & metrics put in place to service field and customers.

8.Develop excellent working relationships with suppliers which can be called upon in times when orders need to be expedited / rescheduled / cancelled or stock needs to be returned according to current inventory goals and customer requirements.

9.Resolve pricing / receiving discrepancies that may arise within set SOP and SLA’s.

The Person:

1.Ideally graduate level qualifications or similar.

2.Similar work experience in purchasing/inventory/buying.

3.Able to organise and prioritise, act in a proactive manner.

4.Displays a sense of urgency and strong service ethic.

5.Strong business acumen, with problem identification and resolution skills.

6.Excellent communication and relationship building skills for internal and external application.

7.Able to interpret data and draw conclusions and have force of conviction when demands are unreasonable.

8.Understands supply chain and logistics with ability to offer solutions.

9.Able to multi task and act effectively when under pressure.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Fridays: 8.00 am - 4.30 pm
Key Skills Required:
Previous experience in a similar role is essential plus an additional European Language to fluent Business English.
