Company: Our client is a major European heavy industry conglomerate with operations across the globe. They have grown their business to over $100bn and close to 100,000 staff on 5 continents. They have recently centralized their European Finance, HR and legal operations in a Shared Service Centre in Berlin and are now hiring staff to work in accounts payable, accounts receivable & collections, payroll, accountancy and other finance roles.
Role: New positions exist for degree educated finance professionals, Accounting/Controlling professionals or experienced finance candidates to join their European Shared Service finance team in Berlin. The management accounting team is responsible for the central reporting of group companies, cost management, stock in trade, current assets and profit and loss reporting. As a member of this team you will generate financial statements and reports on a monthly and quarterly basis in SAP. You will prepare reports in cost centre accounting, internal order accounting and profitability accounting according to HGB & IFRS accounting standards.
Skills: To be considered for the role you will need a minimum of a Finance or Business Administration degree or an accounting qualification plus HGB & IFRS and solid accounting skills. Candidates with SAP knowledge and good commercial skills are preferred. In addition you will need to speak native level Italian, plus fluent English or German. Candidates with previous knowledge in a Shared Service Centre environment or international finance operation are preferred as there will be a large number of transactions and processes to understand.
