Job description
- Maintaining regular contact with vendors by e-mail, fax or phone to ensure promised delivery dates for material and non-material requirements on purchase orders are met.
- Taking appropiate action whenever a vendor fails to meet purchase order requirements. Action may include but is not limited to: elevation of the issue to the vendors' management, in-plant visits or residency, ultimate disqualification of the vendor.
- Maintaining expediting data in SAP and Excel status reports where required.
- Preparing purchase orders and change orders in SAP.
- Ensuring that all necessary accompanying documentation is correct and complete.
- Ensuring purchase requisitions and / or orders include correct descriptions and part numbers for each line item.
Requirements
- A MEAO Diploma / Vocational degree, or the equivalent.
- 7 to 9 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the expediting or purchasing of materials.
- The ability to work a variety of technical disciplines in off-site environment.
- A good command of the English language.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
