This is an exciting opening on a globally recognised Product Management Team that has consistently won plaudits and awards for its innovation and product reliability.

The challenge

The International Product Manager is responsible for :

*The technical health of the product including on-going technology assessment within the competitive landscape.
*On-going win/loss analysis to better understand which features need to be improved for future sales success.
*The use of market driven feedback from customers , prospects and competitor and news analysis.
*The writing of clear product feature requirements.
*The ensuring that products get created, tested and shipped on schedule and meeting requirements.

Responsibilities

The IPM will guide a team that is responsible for product line contribution as a business unit. This has a focus on profitability for existing products and the development of new products for the company and creating technical partnerships with 3rd parties for joint solutions.

You will build products from existing ideas and help develop new ones based on your industry knowledge, experience and analysis.

You will collaborate with all areas of the company from Engineering to deliver product release to marketing to define the go-to-market strategy. You'll be the key evangelist for your products , occasionally working with Sales and key customers.

Other responsibilities include managing the entire product line of web based products from strategic planning to tactical activities, analysing potential partner relationships, building simple, engaging technical communiqués, delivering webinars to customers, prospects and partners and playing a key role with your strategic vision of the company.

*The ability to make change happen through collaboration with a small and very senior staff implementing a virtual operations model.

Other requirements

*At least one long-term experience in product management or existing experience at a Technical Product Manager or Technical Pre-Sales/SE who is looking to develop the next stage of their career in product management.
*Strong knowledge of internet technologies including Web and Email content filtering.
*Sound knowledge of Web Gateways or Firewalls ( less experience required than web and email content filtering)
*Strong experience/knowledge of Linux , Windows and VMWare.
*Hands on experience with scripting i.e Perl or Python to integrate 3rd party products.
*Demonstrated ability to grasp strategic business issues
*Strong grasp of technical issues.
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
*Natural leadership abilities and a charismatic approach to develop strong relationships.
*Bachelors degree required or , if without, more significant experience.
