JOB TITLE: Team Site Courier
REPORTS TO: Area Support Manager
DEPARTMENT: Operations


You will be the face of Canvas/Tohapi Holidays and you will be responsible for every aspect of our customer’s holiday experience. Your duties will include delivering exceptional customer service, cleaning, preparing, and providing general maintenance to accommodation through the season.
If you are a French speaker you may be placed on one of our selected Canvas and Tohapi camp sites where we offer both products. Our Tohapi product is sold through the French markets and operates on a deposit basis. This is a great opportunity to use and improve your language skills.


■ Participate in montage and demontage as and when required, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and in accordance with standards and procedures.
■ Montage-clean and prepare units prior to customers’ arrival, ensuring that they hold a complete inventory.
■ Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with the campsite proprietor and campsite staff, ensuring the smooth running of the Canvas/ Tohapi operation on the site. Regular communication must be maintained throughout the season with the Area Support Manager, colleagues and the Recruitment and Welfare Department.
■ Clean all units on site throughout the season, ensuring that they are clean and tidy at all times, including those units used for reception, storage of equipment and staff accommodation.
■ Carry out maintenance to ensure that accommodation appearance and company standards are met throughout the season. Ensure the product is delivered as advertised.
■ Reflect the appropriate Company Image at all times, ensuring correct uniform is worn at correct times and that guidelines regarding corporate identity, dress code and alcohol code are rigorously upheld.
■ Ensure that local information on notice boards is kept up to date and that information is added, where possible, to enhance the level of customer service.
■ Provide each customer with a personal welcome on arrival and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through provision of immaculate accommodation, providing information and problem solving.
■ Monitor the quality of campsite facilities, as laid out in Health and Safety Guidelines, immediately notifying your Team Leader of any discrepancies.
■ Work in a flexible manner in order to achieve the overall objectives of the Company. You will be asked to work on other camp sites from time to time throughout the season.

Important Information

 The salary is approximately £1,173.46 per month (gross) for a Full-time Courier (35 hours per week averaged out over the season), is paid monthly on the 20th of each month for the period of the 13th of the previous month to the 12th of the pay month (ie 8 days in arrears). Please note that the salary is subject to change due to exchange rate variations.
 Accommodation, plus electricity and gas, are provided in addition to the remuneration package. The accommodation will take the form of a tent or a mobile home which you may share with other couriers or, in some cases, may be occupied by you alone.
 We will deduct a £200 facilitation bond from your first full salary which we will return to you upon successful completion of your contract of employment.
 We will also require you to go to a doctor with the job description and get them to certify that you are capable of fulfilling the duties of the role. We will need a copy of this before we make any travel arrangements for you.
 You will be provided with insurance cover for emergency medical expenses.
 You will be responsible for getting your own travel insurance to cover Baggage and Personal items.
 You will be provided with a full uniform.
 You will work a 6-day week.
 You will get 2.5 days holiday per month which cannot be accrued.
 Full training will be provided as well as a comprehensive handbook to assist you in your role. You will need to complete the Online Induction before your contract starts.
 You will be expected to arrange your own travel within the UK.
 You will be expected to book your return travel home and will be reimbursed a contribution on completion of your contract.
 If you are successful all placements offered are provisional and may change due to operational needs.
 Please note that we operate on a limited number of sites which allow our staff to take their own caravan, campervan or any animals.
 Please note that cleaning is a large part of the courier role.
