World's Leading Wines, a Division of Commerce Interact Ltd, specialises in producing and promoting targeted business development events in U.S.A., Asia and Europe. Due to the continued growth of the division we are recruiting an Italian Business Development Manager to join our successful multinational team.
Our invite only, senior executive events and international business development services enable quality wine producers to expand their distribution and sales. Among Italian wineries, World’s Leading Wines are considered market leaders for delivering highly effective and professionally run events. We have a track record of introducing leading Italian producers to their importers in some of the world’s most important markets.
Based in our central London offices, you will be responsible for contacting Italian wine producers to secure new business and repeat clients for our events in the U.S.A., Asia and Europe. Bookings are generated mainly through phone sales with some face-to-face sales at major exhibitions in the UK, Italy and around the world. The role also involves the development of strategic relationships with the relevant wine trade bodies and client handling for the events. You will report to the Director of World’s Leading Wines and work within a multinational team of four other sales executives alongside the marketing and event management team.
The role requires occasional travel to U.S.A., Asia and Europe to develop new business opportunities and help run our own events.

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to sell, a passion for our industry and a worldly, international outlook. Applicants must have:
- 1+ years’ success in business to business sales, preferably in the drinks industry, events, advertising or recruitment.
- A demonstrable passion for the food and drinks industry.
- Experience working with business owners, HNWIs or senior executives.

- You must be articulate, with the ability to deliver a clear and persuasive presentation.
The successful candidate will be driven to succeed with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Fluent, business level Italian and English are essential for this role.

Salary, Training and Career Progression
Training, day-to-day support and personal development will be provided on an on-going basis. You will be trained to sell at the highest level and will quickly develop the skills to sell high value, bespoke event packages.
The role is based in Farringdon, Central London and offers a base salary of £22k-£27k (based on experience) + uncapped commission with a first year OTE of £40k-£45k.
Our rapid growth ensures that your success in this role will lead to opportunities for promotion into Senior Sales and Team Management roles.
