Fluent English and French are required for this role

Responsibilities:

  1. As a French Collections Representative, you will engage with PayPal customers where a negative balance has occurred on their account, performing a range of collection duties.
  2. These duties will include providing guidance and education to customers in order to avoid a negative balance in the future and following established policies and procedures to obtain payment on negative balance accounts via email or phone contacts.
  3. Construct individually tailored solutions while being in compliance with all local laws and regulations regarding Collections and Debt recovery
  4. Maintain and promote a positive attitude while meeting production and quality goals.
  5. Display initiative to take on additional responsibilities geared towards professional growth and development.
     

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes:

  1. Strong communication skills (Both phone and email), excel at customer interaction, exhibit creativity and skill in delivering practical solutions and thrive in a collaborative team environment
  2. A well-developed sense of urgency and follow through
  3. Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies with a strong working knowledge of PC based internet and software applications
  4. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and peers
  5. Ability to make a discretionary decision based on research
  6. Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment which requires flexibility, especially around processes and shifts.

Job Requirements:

  1. 12+ months experience in Customer Service, Collections, Call/Contact Centre, Financial Services, Banking, Retail or Hospitality
  2. Verbal and written fluency in French and English (C2 level minimum)
