Our client, a leader in the Clinical Diagnostics sector, based near is currently looking for a talented German speaking Systems Support Engineer at their European operations HQ, based near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The position may also be based at our client's French office near Toulouse for interested candidates ( drivers license required).
As a client-focused on dedicated problem-solver you enjoy investigating sometimes challenging issues relating to Automated Systems ( or you'd be interesting in learning more about them using your engineering knowledge ! ) , you'll help a wide range of clients from clinicians, to researchers and humanitarian organisations who will rely on you to help them provide timely and accurate support on the company's diagnostic products.
Responsibilities
*Providing phone and email based support for our client's automated diagnostic products for internal and external customers ( end-users and distributors across EMEA and predominantly in the DACH region)
*Filter , log and handle incoming requests from these clients.
Document all support activities into the customer management system.
*Following ISO regulations carefully.
*Escalating complains to the Technical Support Manager as required.
*Carrying out related ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications , skills and experience required
*A Bachelors degree with a least one long-term experience or a Masters degree with no experience but a strong desire to learn and apply academic knowledge to industry and supporting international clients using analytical problem solving skills.
*Fluent German and English with French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Italian beneficial.
*From an Automated systems , Electronics /Hardware/Software product support background.
*Good IT skills with ideally knowledge of Networks ( TCP/IP, LAN/WAN ) and connectivity and Operating Systems basics.
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
*A real team-player who enjoys working in a medium sized team environment.
*Enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems on devices in a logical, structured way.
*Strong customer support skills and empathy.
*Any extra-curricular experience in volunteering, mentoring, teaching etc…is beneficial.
*Knowledge of commercial computer application packages ( MS Office etc…. )
*Calm under pressure.
*Thorough, meticulous and methodical approach.
*Flexible to work very occasional shifts outside office hours.
*Thrives in a dynamic , fast-flowing environment solving challenging issues that have a major impact on quality of treatment provided to patients globally.
