About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Portuguese speaking CFO to join their team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CFO is mainly responsible for analyzing and reviewing financial data, reporting financial performance, preparing budgets and monitoring expenditures and costs. The CFO is required to present this information to the board of directors at regular intervals and provide this information to shareholders and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities –
Coordinating and accurately preparing management reporting: P&L, Balance Sheets and variance analysis providing recommendation to the management team for improvements etc
Coordinating, managing, and building a finance team as company growth requires
Solving problems and working with the Managing Director to ensure operational improvements
Manage and coordinate the Budgeting and forecasting process and the variance analysis
Create and deliver various reports as Managing Director requires
Managing the various bank accounts and prepare regular progress reports
Work with management & existing consulting & development teams to create internal tracking
Coordinating with Auditors and ensuring compliance, submitting the appropriate agencies and ensuing timely payments
Skills -
Portuguese language and cultural knowledge
Superior written and verbal communication skills in English
Proven track record in finance with several years of experience in a similar role
Experience working in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
Problem solver, able to implement coordinate, and deliver within tight deadlines
Good knowledge of financial systems and really expert of MS Office
Technically minded and ecommerce experience a plus
Able to grasp the policies, procedures and culture of the company philosophy
Able to interact with existing management and team members, to diligently uphold the high standards for achievement that allow our team to complete goals and to ensure long term financial health for the company
