Euro London Appointments , on behalf of our client, a renowned and innovation-focused scientific instrumentation supplier is currently looking for talented C#. NET Software Engineers to develop cutting-edge software , that runs on their their scientific instrumentation.

This is a fantastic opportunity in a dynamic and welcoming team for an experienced , Senior level or Mid-level Software Developer* , with a passion for software development and a strong interest or experience in developing software for the scientific research sector.


Responsibilities :


-Developing reliable, robust and maintainable software enabling the functionality of scientific instruments that our client provides.
-Taking on the role of Team Leader when required to lead development projects.
-Ensuring that design follows established codes of practice and product development lifecycle methodologies (ISO9000 , TickIt Plus standards)
-Solving product problems arising from the software if required.
-Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software design and development practices applicable to our client's products.
-Assisting in training on the software for internal and external personnel.
-Contributing to Software development standards and policies.

Qualifications, skills and experience required :

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar, ideally with a strong course focus on Software Development. Equivalent levels of professional experience can also be considered.

-At least one significant experience in software development in C#. NET framework (essential) with TFS (Azure DevOps Services) and WPF. *For the Senior level position significant Desktop C# development experience is required, for the Mid level position, experience with C# development for Web applications is acceptable if the candidate has a strong interest in continuing their career in a Desktop development position.

-Experience with C++ development is beneficial but not essential.
-Previous experience designing and developing software for Industrial, Scientific or Manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous but not essential.
-Agile methodologies experience especially with Scrum is essential. Unit Testing, Test driven development knowledge is highly beneficial .
-Microsoft Team Foundation server (TFS) experience is essential.
-Software design principles, ISO9000 and TickIt/TickIT plus Standards experience would be very beneficial.
-Strong communications skills in English and developed teamwork abilities are essential for collaboration with diverse internal teams ( Technical Support, Testing Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers) as well as clients.
-Excellent adaptation abilities and thrives on working on the latest cutting-edge development projects.

You should be able to work in the Bristol area and from our client's central Bristol office 1 day per week and at least 2 days per week in the longer term when COVID-19 restrictions are reduced. Office based presence is required due to the need to manage lab equipment that interacts with the software our client's engineers develop.
