Your mission will be continuously improving Content Production Standards in the German language through a constant output of unique content that embodies our brand and our values, and it showcases the reality of German language and culture nowadays. We wish to ensure learners experience the joy of learning through exceptionally useful and visually entertaining content and feel compelled to continuously come back for more.
The Opportunity:
As a German Content Producer you will be working with a fully international team of content creators, language experts, video producers and editors whose sole focus is to ensure the content we produce (written, audio, visual) is highly entertaining and differentiated from our competitors, and useful for our learners, no matter their level.
There is a great deal of variety in your work and you will be wearing many hats: designing and creating content for different channels, doing your own research, interviewing users, responding to some reviews, participating in new feature brainstorms or doing your own analysis on how the content has performed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely implementation of all German content creation tasks. Monitor risks in deliveries and propose mitigation approaches.
- Co-drive the video content creation efforts in German (from scripting, performing in your own videos, helping to recruit actors and freelancers, to publishing in different channels)
- Become a point of reference on developing new practices and applying pedagogical principles to best acquire German language in a digital environment.
- Brainstorm, collate, present and promote the ideation and delivery of new content type ideas for our platforms
- Write and review copy for our Marketing communications and Social Media campaigns in line with our Brand guidelines
- Interact proactively with all parties involved in the projects/initiatives you’re managing from start to finish, monitoring time, quality and cost
- Improve processes and efficiencies within the team (documentation, best practices, automation, repurposing)
- Become the point of reference for the rest of the team in one area of specialisation and drive initiatives in that area (content design, research, evaluation, etc)
- Continually expand your own knowledge and education in your area of specialisation, via training, research, networking opportunities, market knowledge.
- Enhance relationships with external resources to contribute to content deliveries
You will be right for this role if you have/are:
- Fluent German speaker, fluency in English and at least one other language
- Practice in teaching your language as a foreign language OR understanding the difficulties in learning German
- Background creating, scripting, publishing for different online media (esp. video)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high quality output
- Ability to change focus, solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management skills
What you might either know or be willing to learn to do:
- Full production flow of scripting, casting, filming, QA, subtitling and publishing videos with efficiency using our tools and across all our platforms
- How to manage the content in our internal tools
What we would love you to have:
- Education or Training in any of the fields of: Linguistics/Foreign languages/ Teaching/ Media Creation/ Communication
- Background in writing & publishing articles, blog posts or podcasts
- Great attention to detail and great time-management and organisational skills
- Ability to conduct your own research
- Experience in international SEO and/or understanding (purchasing habits etc. ) of local markets outside of the UK are a plus
Within 1-3 months you’ll:
- Have completed onboarding, become familiar with our CMS, our course content and features.
- Be delivering a distinctly new and engaging contribution to the German content offered to our users
- Have proven adherence to our German style guide and enhanced where needed
- Have an understanding of our company’s strategy
Within 6 months you’ll:
- Have an in-depth understanding of the brand and product, reflected in more autonomous writing and scripting
- Have a good understanding of what our features offer to our learners and how they are helping them learn while having fun, and you will have ideas on how to improve these features with your content even more
- Have acquired actionable insights about our learners and contributed with creative and strategic ideas for creating content which help drive users’ engagement
- Have increased the throughput of current German content deliveries
- Have made at least an improvement on delivery process of German language content

Salary: £30,000 - £37,500 per annum.
