Our client, a leading global healthcare diagnostics organisation , is currently looking for a Connectivity focused Solutions Engineer to playing a crucial role in their multilingual and client-focused team of Life Science technology experts based near Brussels.

You will be a trusted partner for hospitals and clinics across EMEA who benefit from the cutting-edge diagnostics technologies our client offers across several medical specialities. Acting as an ambassador for the business you will be decisive in driving root cause analysis for issues relating to device connectivity, as well as assistance to Field Service Engineers during the initial installation phase and training /knowledge dissemination on Connectivity topics for internal and external teams.

In short, your communications Networking and Connectivity skills, analytical approach, passion for outstanding client service, desire to learn cutting-edge medical diagnostics technologies will be vital to your success and career evolution in this essential position within our client's Solutions Engineering team.

Please read on to find out more about the responsibilities encompassed in the position :

*Using reliability data you'll drive projects to improve service metrics (uptime, time to fix, Phone Fix rate)
*Optimising the training content according to the audience ( Field Service Engineers, Technical Account Specialists, Technical Support and other departments)
*Maintaining and generating instrument performance and reliability data reports when needed.
*Creating and assisting in knowledge sharing and dissemination within the European service organisation and for Technical Dealers.
*Participating in the continuous improvement of the field performance by being a focal point for the distribution of information, being the link between the EMEA field organization and the US team.
*Playing a role as a bridge between the Regional teams and the Technical Service Group in the HQ in order to develop and implement product improvements /changes to constantly improve the quality of our client's products.
*Providing Field Service feedback ( reports and data) to other departments for the purpose of customer requests , continuing engineering and compliant analysis and product improvement.

Knowledge skills and experience required

*A self-motivated and autonomous attitude, able to work with little direction on routine duties as required, within an office-based, teamworking environment.
*A Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecoms/Compute Science/Networking/Biomedical Engineering/Electronics with a strong focus on Networking and Devices connectivity.
*Pro-active and solutions oriented.
*Fluent verbal and written English skills essential, any additional European language is advantageous ( particularly French/Dutch/Flemish/Spanish)
*Ability to travel occasionally.
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Experienced in Computer Networking and devices connectivity ( any experience of this in a medical context is ideal but not essential)
*Any experience working in a medical devices organisation with medical devices communication standards is preferred ( DICOM/PACS/HL7/ASTM)
*Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
*Naturally focused on client satisfaction with an empathetic attitude towards the issue being faced by the client.
*A highly professional and responsive attitude is required.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking and sometimes challenging and time constraints oriented environment.
*Prior technical service, engineering or technical manufacturing support experience is preferred, however, our client is able to consider junior candidates with related internships experience looking to join a permanent, long-term position focused on career development and progression in the Medical Devices sector.
