Euro London Appointments is currently recruiting for an experienced Systems Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading economic policy and analysis consultancy , present in London and worldwide.

Working with national and international regulatory agencies and courts they provide rigorous economic thinking and high quality economic analysis that is renowned in their industry.

Based in our client's central London office you would handle infrastructure support for core infrastructure services for the local and EMEA office. As a well-rounded IT professional you combine excellent customer service and technical skills in the infrastructure support and project management areas.

Please see below the key responsibilities :

oProviding support, management, maintenance, and planning for core infrastructure services
oResponsible for the day to day sustaining activities for our client in the EMEA region, while being an active team member for the global team
oDeveloping and maintaining documentation, change management, and technical procedures where applicable
oActs as the Operations lead on projects implemented by Enterprise Architecture
oProviding senior level support in maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all client applications and services used within our client's business. Acting as a senior level advocate for technology related problems or issues

Additional Duties:

oAssist with completing client security assessments
oActs as an escalation point to Technical Support representatives
oWork with business practitioners to develop ad-hoc solutions for business requirements
oPhysical labour required from time to time, which may include moving equipment, etc. up to 25 kg.
oPeriodic travel required

Core Competencies:

o3+ years' experience in troubleshooting, engineering, administration, and functioning of enterprise systems with a focus on Windows Server, SQL, Active Directory, DNS and Networks.
oDetailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, server architecture, data networks, and data centre operations
o1+ year(s) experience with Microsoft Azure
oAbility to handle and balance multiple critical tasks
oAbility to grasp fundamentals quickly and instruct others
oThorough knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and basic Networking principals
oDemonstrable experience and knowledge of MS SQL Server and other database technologies is essential.
oExperience working with NAS and SAN storage infrastructures in an enterprise environment is beneficial.
oHigh level certification in at least 2 core areas (Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, ITIL, etc…)
oProject management experience

Profile sought:

oUndergraduate degree or equivalent job experience, with solid experience in Systems Engineering support, maintenance, management and planning for infrastructure services across the EMEA region.
oPositive Attitude
oSelf-Motivated
oExcellent communication in English (written & verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills.
oOther languages ( German, French, Italian) beneficial but not essential.
oAbility to work well within a dispersed team environment
oAbility to work independently when required.
oAny prior experience in a Financial, Legal, LLP or Professional Services organisation is beneficial but not essential.
oAdaptability to changing priorities.
